Uncharted Territory

I set this card up as a birthday card but my customers found it to be a perfect Father's Day card too.  I'm mourning the retirement of the Uncharted Territory stamp set and the Well Worn Designer Series Paper collection.  They are fantastic for man cards.

Pinwheels

I really wanted to make a pinwheel card using the Sweets for the Sweet stamp set.  I was sure that I had bought it.  Turns out I hadn’t.  (Now it's on my (very long) wish list.)  So I ran across this card and remembered learning how to make a pinwheel at a demo event a couple of years ago so it this is the outcome.  The 1 ½” square DSP was a little challenging to work with but after a few tries, I had it mastered.  If I can do it, so can you.

My grandson Joshua has gotten plenty of use of Grandma’s Stampin’UP! products this year as he has had several assignments that require him to make a visual project. This coursework is a cereal box book report about Charlotte’s Web. His assignment was to create the book cover on the front of the box and other requirements for the sides and back. Mom took charge of the sides and back, Grandma took charge of the front.

We used punches, embossing folders, textureplates and some dies as well. Joshua has become a pro at running the Big Shot,
sponging with the ink pads, tracing with the light box and of course, punching.

You will recognize most of the punches of each character except maybe Templeton the Rat. His body is made from the Owl Punch. His tail and ears were made using the Bird Punch.

Joshua is one Terrific Grandson. His score on this project? 105%

Thanks a Million

I came in second place in sales for the first quarter of this year in the TOPICS! (Touching Others with Paper, Ink, Creativity and Stamps!) Stampers Group  based out of Katy, TX and the Pieces of Heart Stampers Group founded here in St. Louis.  The top sales honor went to my dear friend Judy Sumner.  For this achievement, I was privileged to receive a Million Dollar Prize from Penny Thomas, leader of the TOPICS! Stampers Group .  The prize consisted of a box of Stampin’ UP! products such as  Whisper White cardstock, Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive and other things I use on a regular basis.  They're like bread, milk & eggs for your kitchen.

I have a great group of customers who made this happen and I am blessed to have them.  The people who I meet in connection with Stampin’ UP! are some the best people you will ever meet hands down.

I sent this Z fold card to Penny thanking her for such generosity.

Love & Sympathy

Sympathy cards are not on my top 10 list of cards to make but essential to have on hand when needed.   This beautiful card met a two-fold purpose and thank goodness it was not for a purpose  intended.  My  stampers requested a sympathy card and just loved making this one.  Wisteria Wonder is such a soothing and peaceful  shade.  I always try to listen closely to my customers comments and try harder to remember them.

The second purpose for this card was for my monthly challenge with the Pieces of Heart Stampin’ UP! group.  There were some lovely cards made for this task and I always enjoy spending time with my peeps.  They are the best!!
