Joyful Tidings
I have been so busy the last couple of months preparing for our annual Christmas Card Workshops, 2016 Calendar Events, Demonstrator Events and my regular camps and classes. It's been a great busy and I have had so much fun sharing this wonderful craft with the community and working with my Peeps to get it done. This card is one of my favorites as it reminds be of Christmas's past when we used a little bit of everything to create our own Christmas decorations. Some of my customers needed a December birthday card. They switched out the sentiments and fashioned a perfect outcome.
I can never part with my Christmas stamp sets so I went to the "warehouse" to locate a sentiment that fit the vintage feel I was going for. Christmas Messages is from the 2013 Holiday Catalog. It has a variety of timeless cheerful thoughts.

Birthdays Embellished
Soft and vibrant are not the words that you would use together but in the Lullaby Designer Series Paper you will find both. The new & cool technique in this card is the use of the Scallop Tag Punch to create the mat for the Chalk Framelit die. The measurement on the Baked Brown Sugar piece is 1 15/16 (just a smidge less the 2”) by 3 ¼”. I love layers and this method makes a unique focal point.

Ferris Wheel
Ferris Wheel
The Ferris Wheel image on this stamp has to be a replica of the original Ferris Wheel from the St. Louis 1904 World’s Fair. It just has to be. Not that it was built for the Fair but it was there. Well that’s my story anyway & I’m sticking to it. This is the last card we did using the Feeling Sentimental stamp set from Sale-a-brations. I just love this set and it’s breaking my heart to have it retire so quickly.
Another design by Carolyn King from down under. Twelve layers just on the front alone—but who’s counting?
