Stick Pony

Stick Pony

This may be the most adorable card I have yet to make.  How cute is this charming pony that literally came to life using, ink, paper and a sock stamp? Creativity doesn’t get any better than this. I needed a baby shower card this week and found this card on the Stampin’ Connection.  It’s a variation of a case of a case.  We also made it at my stamp camp on Saturday. Too cute!!!

Something I learned with this card:  You can take turn Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon into any color you desire with a sponge and ink.  It works great!

Stamps: Stitched Stocking,  Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Soft Suede
Paper: Well Worn Designer Paper, Very Vanilla, River Rock, Soft Suede
Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Stocking Builder Punch, Lace Ribbon Border Punch (Pony’s eye), Pinking Hearts Punch,  Marina Mist 1/8” Taffeta Ribbon, Whisper White 3/8” Taffeta Ribbon, Stamping Sponge, Vintage Trinkets, Metallic Brads, Paper Piercing Tool, adhesive and the kitchen sink.

Frostwood Lodge

forest-lodge-birthday-copy

Masculine Cards are always a challenge but the Frostwood Lodge Designer Paper makes it easy.     The Cherry Cobbler quilted ribbon has the look and feel that reminds me of one of my Dad’s ties.  Definitely great for masculine cards.

Pears with Pizzazz

Pears with Pizzazz

The paisley pattern from the Spice Cake DSP series was not one of my favorites but the more I look at, the more I’m loving it.   The subtle layers mellow the paisley which enhances the card without overshadowing the focal point.   We made this card at my Stamp Camp yesterday.

Wicked Cool

Wicked Cool

This is the card we made at my World Card Making Day Open House last Saturday featuring Stampin’ UP’s new Simply Scored scoring tool.  The witch’s skirt was a great starter project for making the accordion folded rosettes that are a HOT trend.  I highly recommend using the lid of a Hershey’s Hot Fudge jar as a positioning tool to keep the rosette in place while applying adhesive.  You could use any jar the matches the measurement of the hot fudge jar but then you wouldn’t be able to have hot fudge sundaes.

Everytime I look this card it reminds me of the lyrics in the Wizard of Oz song, “Ding dong the witch is dead.”
A BIG thanks to my friend and upline Pam D'Urso for letting me borrow her stamp set.
This card was cased from Julie Arvin.
