More Amour Make & Take
I had a wonderful day yesterday at the Frances Howell Central High School Scrapbooking Event. I met some of the nicest ladies. Some were seasoned stampers and some had never stamped before. I believe they were all pleased with the Valentine card they made. Thanks to my good friend Iris Matthews who invited me to be a part of their event. This sweet make & take added a special addition to the occasion. Oh….and the Chick-Fil-A for lunch will guarantee my return participation next year.
This is the perfect card to showcase the coordinating Heart a Flutter Bundle.

Oh Hello
Counted cross-stitching used to be one of my favorite crafts. Unfortunately I can’t see well enough anymore for that kind of detail. (One of the reasons I love stamping is that you don’t have to have 20/10 vision). Now Stampin’ UP! has a new embossing folder that does the cross-stitching for us. What a great way to add subtle dimension to a card.
I stamped the oval pattern directly on to the cardstock on this card. At my stamp camp, I reduced the risk for my customers (and friends) by offering scrap cardstock and the Oval Framelit to create the background. Some took advantage and some made the bold move. Either way, the card is delightful.

Sycamore Street Pinwheel
I cased this card from a swap Sally Nusbaum received at Leadership. I thought it was adorable. I didn't get the name of the source. It's just too cute not to share. The base of the card is 4 ¼ x 5 ½ with Island Indigo. Whisper White is cut at 7’1/2” x 5 ¼” and scored at 4”. The Sycamore Street DSP is cut at 3 ¼” x 5” and attached to the card front. I punched a scrap using the 2 ½” circle punch to use as a template to position the circle placement on the front of the card. Punch through both the Whisper White and DSP at the same time. I also punched another scrap and folded it in fourths to locate the center of the circle for the brad placement. The pinwheel actually rotates when attached through the back Whisper White cardstock. Once the pinwheel was attached, I mounted it to the Island Indigo card base. I quick stamp and ribbon finishes the delightful card.

Winter Flower
Even though the holidays are almost behind us, snowflakes are still relevant for the winter season. I used this ensemble of punches and die cuts to create a Winter Flower. The silver glimmer paper makes the flower glisten. I will be sending this to my peep, Mary Taylor for her birthday.
I’m also going to crop out the flower and use it as my Facebook badge for January.
