David’s Turning Four
This coming week is my little grandson, Davey’s, fourth birthday and boy is he excited. He’s asked spend the day at his favorite place in the whole world, the St. Louis Zoo. So what could be more fitting than a birthday card made from Tall Tales DSP and the Animal Stories stamp set? These 2 products say “all boy” to me. Not to mention, this color combination happens to be one of my favorites. It’s helping me get over the loss of the Good Morning Sunshine DSP.
The first grouping is a base of Old Olive (5 ¼ x 4). Added is a layer of the DSP each cut 5 x 2 and wrapped with ¼ inch Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon at the seam. Not too foo-foo 🙂 Mount this to the base of the card of Close to Cocoa.
Use the “happy birthday” stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes and stamp with Chocolate Chip ink on a scrap of So Saffron card stock. Punch it out with the Modern Label Punch. This gets mounted onto a Chocolate Chip mat cut from the coordinating die from Movers and Shakers Punch Windows. (How cool is that?) Pierce and attach Old Olive Brads. Adhere this to the card with Dimensionals.
The next group is a 2¼ square cut and embossed with Nestabilities. Stamp with the elephant stamp using Chocolate Chip ink. With the paper piercer and mat pack, pierce each corner with 6 holes. Mount this on a 2½ square of Chocolate Chip. Adhere this unit to the card with Dimensionals.
Lastly, to balance out the card, using the Photo Corners Punch, punch out a set in Chocolate Chip and Old Olive. Pierce the corner to match the elephant square.
