You’re Just my Type
How often do you need a card just like this? No specific occasion but something special to send family photos, a recipe, or a special instructions for a payment. I always like to have these types of cards ready for multipurpose use and today's card is perfect for them.
I learned from Karen, one of my fabulous customers that this stamp works best on a hard surface. She used my kitchen counter (where we were also using background stamps) to get a much better impression that I got when I made this card. One thing about being around stampers, you always pick up little tips to improve your skills and techniques.
Tip: To make the leaf for the flower’s stem, I used a technique taught to me by Deanna Schultz (a very sweet demonstrator friend who makes fabulous cookies I might add). Punch a circle from a scrap of Old Olive. I used the 1/2 “ circle punch with this card. Place the circle on the sticky part of a post-it note. Guide the circle back into the circle punch (upside down) and cut half way through it to create the leaf. I believe Deanna called this a Fish Line technique. That’s what I call it anyway.
Make a stack of these and keep them handy. This stamp set has some very cute phrases that can be used at the last minute many occasions.
