This card is a somewhat monochromatic but with the various mediums and tools used, it doesn't look monochromatic.  It's made using the new Daffodil Delight color in the Brights Collection by Stampin' UP! 
 
The new 3mm Basic Pearl mounted onto a the flower punched with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack took this card to the next level of elegance. The Basic Pearl jewels are self adhesive half pearls that come in 2mm, 3mm and 5mm sizes. Look to see them often as I absolutely love them!
Daffodil Delight reminds me of sunshine but doesn't have the heat  we are experiencing this weekend here in St. Louis.  Our temperature today reached 97 degrees with a humidity that made it feel like 107 degrees. On a day like today, it's best just to stay indoors and make a card!

Friends Never Fade

I am just loving the new colors this year that premiered in Stampin’ UP’s 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog (IBC).  And the new Designer Series Papers are to die for.  My wish list is soooooo long.
I made two of these cards to send to two friends. I won’t mention their names so not to spoil their surprise.  This card was very easy to make.  The designer series paper negates the need for complicated techniques.  I'm all about clean & simple.

This is my page.  I opted not to use any of the Island Oasis designer series paper because my top was pretty busy by itself.  I do love using the eyelet border punch, half pearls and ribbon for embellishments so that's what I did.

This is my daugher Mary who is the mother three precious little boys.  They are smart, handsome and congenial.  I am so richly blessed to have them in my life.

This is the last of the 26 pages of our scrapbook for Jenna.  All of the embellishments were hand-made using Stampin' UP! Sizzix dies or punches.  We did a lot of layering to create color without taking away from our focal photo.  The Digital Design Studio came in handy when we had multiple photos on a given page.  

My next big project will be the Family Cookbook.  Any ideas?

Generations Above

This is my Aunt Ruth who is the last living sibling of my mom's generation.  She lives in Branson, MO.

This page is dedicated to my Grandma, Mom and Aunt Polly who were the best of our family.  They were our role-models in every sense.  A real tear-jerker to everyone who sees this book.  If they were still with us, they would be bawling their eyes out too at how awesome our family is today.

Susan & Her Girls

Susie

Susan is my first cousin and Chuck's sister.  Her last visit to St. Louis was also about 25 years ago.  We also keep in touch with on Facebook.   She is one busy lady with 5 kids and 2 grandchildren. She takes the best pictures so we get to see a lot of what's going on in her life.  I really, really enjoy family pictures.

Want to know a secret?  All these years our family in St. Louis has called Susan "Susie."

Sharon & Morgan

Sharon is a lovely lady that our family just adores.  She recently came to St. Louis on business and all of the first cousins here in St.Louis met her at Union Station for dinner.  I treasure anytime our family gets together.
