Global Design Project Challenge
Today's card was a challenge for me. I couldn't locate anything to copy in my normal surfing paces so I decided I would try something original–a true rarity for me. I knew the paper I wanted to use and the color palate but as it happens so often, I was coming up blank with any ideas. So I looked to the GDP challenge blog for inspiration. The GDP is a relatively new blog and I have been watching it for several weeks. I didn't get my card done in time to play along but the fact that I even tried it is a miracle within itself. Here is the design and what I came up with:

I saw the title of this post on a Polaroid marketing page. I believe this is a Polaroid camera. At least it looks like the one my Uncle Chris had back in the day. Either way, the slogan is very fitting for this card as well; Lots of steps of grunging, sponging & layering to make a Big Hit.

Butterfly Elegance
This card has a vintage effect that makes the butterflies captivating and elegant. You can never have too many.

Timeless Elegance
At July stamp camp one of my customers mentioned that she would be needing an anniversary card. I recall seeing a beautiful card designed by Amy Koenders and thought it would be the perfect card for an anniversary and versatile enough for any other occassion. I always try to use card designs that can be used for multiple occassions so that my customers needs are met.

This is a card by Susan Field who designed this card for a organized swap at the recent annual Stampin' UP! convention held in Salt Lake City, UT. She was gracious enough to allow me to take the measurements so that I could copy it for my July stamp camp. I love the colors in the Bohemian Designer Paper Series and the cutie patootie Octopus will surely make someones day.

Pretty Petals
I found this layout on Google by Sam Hammond Donald, a demonstrator from the UK who live in North Wales. I love how she matched up the coordinating designs of the Pretty Petal Designer Paper Stack to make a delightful card. I used a different stamp set with some paper piercing around the framelit mat to make it my own. You know me and layers. There can never be too many.
By the way, I can't find my camera so I had to use my phone. Probably why you won't see the paper piercing.
