Happy Birthday Susan

Susan Field is a fellow Stampin’ UP! demonstrator who has been the pilot on several road trips to various Stampin’ UP! events.  I, am (affectionately) known as the nagigtor and serve as her co-pilot.  Susan’s birthday is tomorrow and I put this card in the mail to her.  A lovely person deserves a lovely card.  Happy Birthday Susan and may you be blessed with many more to come!

My 2012 Christmas Card

This is the Christmas Card I chose to make for my Customers.  I really like way the moonlighting (burnishing) technique that gives the appearance of the a spotlight shining on the ornament. The diagonal embossing on this sample was from a retired Textured Plate.  I used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to emboss the cards I mailed.   I mailed every one of them before I took a picture.

Wicked Cool

Wicked Cool

This is the card we made at my World Card Making Day Open House last Saturday featuring Stampin’ UP’s new Simply Scored scoring tool.  The witch’s skirt was a great starter project for making the accordion folded rosettes that are a HOT trend.  I highly recommend using the lid of a Hershey’s Hot Fudge jar as a positioning tool to keep the rosette in place while applying adhesive.  You could use any jar the matches the measurement of the hot fudge jar but then you wouldn’t be able to have hot fudge sundaes.

Everytime I look this card it reminds me of the lyrics in the Wizard of Oz song, “Ding dong the witch is dead.”
A BIG thanks to my friend and upline Pam D'Urso for letting me borrow her stamp set.
This card was cased from Julie Arvin.
