Granny Mac’s Tea Towels
When I saw this card in the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog (page 170) it reminded me of the tea towels my Grandma would hang in her bathroom when she was expecting special company. It was her Sunday School class luncheons that I recall the most. She got out her special luncheon table clothes and napkins. She usually served tuna stuffed tomatoes and cucumber salad made using fresh vegetables from my Grandpa's garden. Dessert was peach cobbler made dirtying only one bowl. She never measured any ingredients and always had a perfect crust.
On with the card…..I replaced the stitching with paper piercing to make it just a little easier on my customers and used a different framelit. I used Old Olive cut from the Bitty Banner punch. I used Naturals White cardstock instead of Crumb Cake. The Blendabilities worked great by the way. And I used Basic Black for my card base as I always like my layers.
Now I have to have some tuna salad. Mmm!
Sealed with a Kiss
Sent with Love is a special bundle available for a limited time. When I first saw it, words like patriotic, masculine, soldiers came to mind. Mostly I sure because of the airplanes. But after studying it for a while, I saw past the airplanes and noticed that it also had some lovely soft colors that were perfect for us gals. So with paper & stamp set in hand, I came up with this sweet card that sends a powerful message from my softer side. Aah, the memories of a younger day when cards were sprayed with perfume, sealed with a kiss and sent air mail.

More Amour Make & Take
I had a wonderful day yesterday at the Frances Howell Central High School Scrapbooking Event. I met some of the nicest ladies. Some were seasoned stampers and some had never stamped before. I believe they were all pleased with the Valentine card they made. Thanks to my good friend Iris Matthews who invited me to be a part of their event. This sweet make & take added a special addition to the occasion. Oh….and the Chick-Fil-A for lunch will guarantee my return participation next year.
This is the perfect card to showcase the coordinating Heart a Flutter Bundle.
