I’m All About That Face

This is the card that inspired the August calendar for the 2015 Calendar Project.   When I saw that face in the Ray of Sunshine stamp set, I knew I had to have it.  When I saw Justin Krieger's card made with this stamp set, I had to make it.   I used the Scallop Circle Punch to create the Sun:

  • Punch out the shape first with the Scallop Circle Punch
  • Attach a strip of light-weight paper to it (I call the fish line technique). Use the strip of paper as a guide to hold and reposition your shape
  • Insert the scallop back into the punch
  • Offset the design half way between the scallops and re-punch

Retro Valentine

I am considering this card to be the perfect Valentine.  OK so it’s not the typical red & white with hearts all over.  It’s however extremely bright and cheerful with a sentiment that allows one to pause for a moment to reflect on the meaningful foundation of a relationship.  What better way to recognize someone special in your life with a fantastic card.  So….give the Retro Valentine and hope for chocolate in return.
