Hot Mess

My dear friend Cheryl Renth is affectionately known at "Hot Mess'.  Her son is getting married and she designed this Save the Date announcement for the upcoming nuptials. Joshua is an IT professional so she created this card using the Stampin’ UP! Envelope Punch Board to make a file folder. The film strip effect was made using couples engagement photos and the OnFilm Framelit Dies. Tucked inside is a real floppy disk that has the announcement on the label. How stinkin’ cute is that.  Cheryl is an out-of-the-box designer and I admire & love her creative talents.

I suppose you’re wondering why I have this project on my blog. Well that’s because I heeeelllllped. I was the puncher-outer of all those tiny holes in the film strip diecuts.  I am now so proficient with the film strip framelit that I could teach a class on it. Perhaps I will.

Thanks Cheryl for your friendship and allowing me to feature your project on my blog.

Season of Style

The Season of Style Designer Series Paper is really classy.  I love the layering the various patterns in the collection.

Christmas Messages

Sometimes you want to send a card during the holidays to let someone know your thinking of them during the time of year.  A Christmas card just doesn't say what you want to say.  This card is perfect to let someone know your thinking of them in a special way.  I sent this card to my dear friend Margaret who recently had surgery.

Christmas Messages

The card could easily be modified to make it a Christmas card or for someone who has a birthday around Christmas.  At my November stamp camp I had a variety of stamps that would change the greeting that could be used for a different purposes.  My customers stayed with the sentiment that I used because the inside sentiment is what makes the card perfect for someone who is in your thoughts this time of year:

One more thing….This was my swap card at our Gathering Place Regional Event back in September.

Another card made at Kroptoberfest for my October Stamp Camp using the 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon.  I am excited that this ribbon is not going to retire.  Let's see….On this card I owe Judy a sheet of So Safron cardstock…..My debts are piling up.

Truly Grateful

I am going to dedicate this card to truly great peeps.  I made this card for my October Stamp Camp at Kroptoberfest.  Kroptoberfest was a Columbus Day weekend crop at the Holidays Shore Resort in the Lake of the Ozarks.  Spending time with my peeps, stamping & watching the game on the Big Screen was AWESOME!!!!!   I am truly blessed to have such fabulous group of friends who have a like passion.  I've even turned a few of them into baseball fans.

Sally:  I  haven't forgot that I owe you a button.

Magnificent Maple

This year has flown by so fast.  I can't believe Thanksgiving is just around the corner.  We made this card last month at my October Stamp Camp.  It's one my favorite cards.  I loved working with the burlap ribbon.  You will see it used several times over the next few days as I try to get caught up with my posting.
